The latest achievements of the German construction industry are embodied in Gelan’s latest PVC window system. The super-quality maximally heat-insulating profiles have a construction width of 83 mm and the possibility of incorporating a triple 44 mm glass unit. The flexible seal in the frame rebate contributes to the improvement of the heat-insulating properties. It also protects the fittings from moisture entering the window and facilitates better opening of the sashes, especially at low temperatures outside the window.

The development of an 83mm system with the best thermal insulation properties is not a coincidence, but the result of purposeful development work. Numerous calculations have resulted in excellent thermal insulation values. A thermal insulation of Uf – 0.92 W / m²K was achieved from the start in the standard combination with steel, thereby ensuring the possibility of passage. The 6-chamber construction offers ideal protection against cold and noise, and its efficiency is enhanced by the possibility of using triple glazing up to 44 mm thick. In this way, heating costs and CO2 emissions are significantly reduced. In addition, the large construction thickness of 83 mm provides increased strength of the corners and thus increases the strength of the entire window. At the same time, the steel reinforcement ensures stable fixing of the fittings and exceptional stability. The non-rebated inner edge of the frame has no gutters for dirt to collect, making it easy to clean the window. In addition, dirt is removed extremely easily from the rounded outer edge of the case. By additionally incorporating the patented GECCO (GEALAN CLIMA CONTROL) ventilation system, the formation of mold is successfully prevented, especially in the area of the skirting board.
